Highlights

  • Cardano price nears ETF eligibility as futures requirement approaches.
  • ADA targets $0.18 before possible move toward $0.20.
  • Whale stablecoin holdings declined, signaling cautious investor deployment.

Cardano price rose on Thursday as improving market conditions supported renewed interest in ADA. The token gained 2.85% within 24 hours, reaching $0.168 during trading.

The overall cryptocurrency market grew 0.51% to $2.21 trillion. The recovery was supported by institutional demand and the enhancement of the regulatory sentiment.

Bitcoin price stayed above the support at $64,000, but gains were modest. Ether was trading at over $1,900, and XRP was approaching a potential breakout of $1.10.

Softer data on United States inflation also corresponded in the markets. June PCE inflation cooled, strengthening expectations for supportive monetary conditions.

The inflation report made Bitcoin briefly approach $65,000. Nevertheless, geopolitical tensions remained to restrict the risk appetite in global markets.

The United States staged new attacks on targets in southern Iran. The attacks included locations in Bandar Abbas, Kish, and Qeshm Island.

ADA Price Targets Breakout as Cardano Nears ETF Eligibility

Cardano price has reached a regulatory milestone that is associated with potential spot ETF eligibility. The development could strengthen arguments supporting a future United States-listed ADA investment product.

According to the data provided by Blockworks, Cardano ETFs have registered 16 months of net inflows, indicating a consistent institutional interest in ADA exposure.

Mintern, a Cardano community figure and Minswap DEX executive, discussed the milestone. He indicated that Cardano would soon meet a requirement of revised SEC ETF listing requirements.

The requirement relates to futures-market trading history. By August 9, 2026, Cardano might qualify to satisfy the appropriate eligibility period.

Satisfying that requirement would not ensure the approval of ETFs. However, it could remove one concern surrounding future Cardano ETF applications.

The proposed Grayscale Cardano Trust ETF is also under review by regulators. An ultimate SEC ruling may be given in the month of October 2026.

Cardano Whale Buying Power Drops Despite July Recovery

According to Santiment data, big Cardano whales were in charge of 55.35% of stablecoin supply towards the end of July. Their share has dropped at high levels recorded in March indicating less liquidity among the major holders. ADA was performing a wider negative trend within the same period and it leveled off in July.

An initial rise in the number of whale stablecoins underpinned better sentiment early this month. Nonetheless, the most recent downward trend shows that investors are still wary of investing money.

Is Cardano Price Preparing for a Rally Toward $0.20?

At the time of writing, the ADA price traded at $0.1704 after gaining 4% on the four-hour chart. Cardano bounced back after hitting the support zone of $0.160 with buyers becoming more active around the newest candle.

The RSI rose to 68, with momentum being near the overbought zone. The MACD had a bullish crossover and the histogram was in the positive area. A sustained move above $0.170 could send the future Cardano outlook toward the first resistance target at $0.180.

A break below $0.180 can create an avenue to the higher target of $0.20. However, renewed selling could push ADA toward the important $0.160 support.
