Highlights
- TRUMP, MELANIA and WLFI Price Drops Follow Democrats’ Midterm Sweep
- Wallets Tied to Trump Media Move 4,259 BTC to Crypto.com
- Renewed Fighting With Iran Could Lift Oil, Pressuring Crypto Prices
The Trump Media sell-off sent shares to a record low Wednesday after Democrats won control of both chambers of Congress. The Truth Social parent’s stock closed at $4.49 on the Nasdaq, down 24.5% from $5.95.
The decline wiped about $168 million from the value of President Donald Trump’s 41% stake, held in a family trust.
Meanwhile, TRUMP was trading at $1.25, MELANIA stood at $0.06488 and WLFI was around $0.0476 early Thursday. Bitcoin (BTC) topped the rally with a price of $80,484, followed by XRP price, which rose to $1.31, and Ethereum at around $2,425.
The total crypto market value rose 2.53% over 24 hours to $2.68 trillion. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs took in a net $74.6 million Wednesday, snapping a three-session run of withdrawals. There were $378 million in forced bearish closures within a span of one hour, which introduced buying pressure as prices rose.
TRUMP, MELANIA and WLFI Slide as Oversight Risks Rise
The incoming majority is preparing to scrutinize Trump family crypto ventures, while the stalled CLARITY Act faces a tougher path. Official Trump is down over 20% for Wednesday’s session, hitting a new record low of $1.22. A drop under $1.20 will place $1.00 on the horizon, and $1.50 is the initial level for buyers.

Melania Meme dropped 13.15% in 24-hours and hit a record low of $0.06378. The $0.060 level might come into play if a drop through that low occurs while a recovery above $0.070 could focus on $0.075.

World Liberty Financial’s governance token, WLFI, dropped about 10% to a new all-time low of nearly $0.046, but has now recovered. Its first recovery test is at $0.050 with a break below $0.045 to continue the decline.
Is Trump Media preparing to sell its Bitcoin?
Wallets linked to Trump Media moved 4,259 BTC, valued at about $343.67 million, to Crypto.com early Thursday. The coins were from wallets earmarked as collateral for the company’s convertible notes that are coming due in 2028. The transfer was about 30% of the amount of Bitcoin that Trump Media said it had at the end of the July month.
Crypto.com has been acting as custodian for Trump Media, and the reason behind Thursday’s transfer isn’t clear. The noteholders can require that the money be paid back in cash before Nov. 30, when up to $1 billion could come due if all take part. Trump Media included refinancing and selling out digital assets as ways to pay those obligations.

Vice President JD Vance has been advocating a deal and privately assailed the judgment of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Iran. One of Trump advisors stated that the president does not want to suffer another political blow after the Republicans suffered. The three tokens are open to increased losses as renewed fighting may raise oil prices and reduce the demand of risky assets.
