XRP Price Forecast After Whale Activity Surges 280%: Recovery Ahead?
Highlights
- Whale activity increased 280%, despite continued weakness, indicating renewed interest.
- Volume increased for derivatives and open interest decreased, indicating cautious leverage.
- XRP price needs to retake $1 and cross $1.02 to validate the recovery.
XRP price hovered at $0.9942 on Tuesday after breaking below the watched $1 support level. Whale activity in the coin has jumped 280% over the past 24 hours, indicating a resurgence in interest following selling pressure from big players.
XRP was the weakest major cryptocurrency on a daily and weekly basis despite Ripple growing its institutional partnerships.
The broader crypto market increased by 0.79% to reach $2.19 trillion, driven by the fact that the regulatory atmosphere is improving. The Bitcoin price remained above $64,300 and might break resistance around $67,269 should the market momentum pick up.
However, rejection at that level may send Bitcoin toward $62,000 support. Rising whale transactions could support an XRP recovery, although confirmation remains absent.
XRP Whale Activity Surges 280% as Large Transactions Return
Whale activity on XRP spiked significantly over the last 24 hours, indicating a resurgence of interest among major investors.
Transactions valued above $1 million jumped 280% during the period. Over 38 of such transfers were registered on the XRP Ledger.
The gain indicates that major holders are getting more active following a slower trading activity. However, whale transfers do not always indicate buying.

Certain transactions can be exchange deposits, withdrawals, or internal wallets. Traders will be keeping an eye on the response in the price and transaction of XRP.
XRP Volume Reaches $1.55 Billion as Open Interest Declines
The activity of XRP derivatives increased as trading volume was up 12.48% to $1.55 billion in the most recent session.
Open interest dropped 0.69% to 2.75 billion, indicating that traders decreased leveraged exposure irrespective of increased participation in the market. Options volume increased 58.25% to $883,790, as a result of increasing demand of short-term price positioning.

Options open interest also grew 1.44% to $60.02 million, indicating more contracts being active. The mixed data shows that there is improving speculative interest, but the reduced futures exposure indicates that caution is still needed.
Is XRP Price Preparing for a Breakout Above the $1.02 Resistance?
The XRP Price traded near $0.9962 on Tuesday after slipping below the important $1 psychological support level.
The Relative Strength Index is at 43.46, indicating that momentum is below the neutral mark of 50.
The Chaikin Money Flow stands at 0.06, which is a positive indicator that reflects low inflow of capital despite the recent weakness of XRP. This divergence may favor a recovery when the price manages to regain the $1 level.

A longer-term shift for XRP above $1 may create an opportunity to the initial resistance threshold at $1.02. The break of that barrier could build up the movement in the direction of $1.05, which was a significant support zone earlier.
On the other hand, further rejection at less than $1 may subject XRP to additional stress at the $0.97 support. Any breakdown of less than $0.97 would undermine the future and possibly prolong the entire bearish pattern.
