Cardano Price Prediction as $1.9T T. Rowe Adds ADA to Active Crypto ETF
Highlights
- Cardano price is rising as T.Rowe's move to add ADA to its Active Crypto ETF boosts sentiment.
- An ascending parallel channel suggests Cardano price could surge to $0.25.
- Cardano's network activity is also rising as DEX volumes surge nearly four-fold in three days.
Cardano (ADA) price is up by 11% today, August 21, to trade at $0.212 at the time of writing. The gains mirror the broader market’s uptrend as most altcoins reach multi-month highs. Cardano’s ascending channel suggests that the gains could continue as T.Rowe also adds exposure to ADA in its Active Crypto ETF.
T.Rowe Adds ADA to Crypto ETF
T.Rowe, an asset manager with $1.87 trillion in assets under management, launched its Active Crypto ETF (TKNZ) in July 2026. At the time of launch, the ETF offered access to Bitcoin (BTC) and multiple altcoins, but excluded Cardano.
Data from T.Rowe now shows that the original weightings have changed, with Cardano being a new entrant to the fund with a weighting of 0.43%. The fund now holds 416,620 ADA valued at $81,000.

The addition comes barely two weeks after Grayscale withdrew an application for a Cardano ETF on August 10, as earlier reported by CoinGape. The withdrawal caused a decline in Cardano price to $0.196.
ADA has since recovered from these lows, to trade at $0.21, after the new addition to the T.Rowe ETF increased the buy-side pressure because of optimism around increased demand for ADA by institutions.
Cardano Price Forecast as Bulls Target $0.25
The price of Cardano is moving within a rising parallel channel, with this suggesting that bulls are tightening their grip. ADA has also moved above the resistance at the upper trendline of the channel, with this also suggesting that the uptrend could continue.
If Cardano price continues to rise and moves above the 200-day SMA resistance of $0.22, it will suggest that the long-term ADA outlook is now favoring bulls. An increase in buying pressure above this 200-day EMA could then push Cardano to $0.25.
The RSI reading of 71 confirms that the momentum is also bullish, and this also strengthens the bull case that Cardano could move to $0.25 next.

Still, this RSI reading suggests that the buying pressure is too high and buyers might become exhausted soon. If this occurs and buyers start to hesitate and some traders also move to take profit after the gains seen for three straight days, Cardano could drop to the support at the 61.8% Fib of $0.184.
Cardano’s Network Activity Rises Alongside Price
Data from DeFiLlama shows that the decentralized exchange (DEX) volumes on Cardano have increased from $1.3 million on August 19 to $4.68 million today, August 21.

The DeFi TVL has also moved from 291 million ADA to 298 million ADA. This rise not only coincides with the increase in price, but also comes as more people join the network ahead of the upcoming Dijkstra upgrade, as CoinGape reported.
The total supply of stablecoins on Cardano is also increasing, after moving from $65 million on August 8 to $67 at the time of writing.
