The partnership will also extend to the Barça Innovation Hub, another of the club’s ecosystems that the crypto exchange will now influence. “With the new partnership, fans will reportedly find new ways to engage with their team. There are talks about interactive experiences and unique meetups,” the release stated.

Furthermore, WhiteBIT announced that there will be a co-branded WhiteBIT Nova debit card that will let fans pay with crypto daily. This notably marks one of the trends shaping the crypto card industry. The exchange noted that the deal aims to scale crypto tools across sports and beyond.

FC Barcelona fans will be able to personalize their card with the club’s visual identity. The exchange revealed that the card will provide added benefits for fans, including special features and future partner advantages linked to the partnership.

A Boost To The Mission To Support Mass Adoption of Crypto

Volodymyr Nosov, President and Founder of W Group, which includes WhiteBIT, highlighted how the partnership boosts their mission to support the mass adoption of crypto by bringing technology to everyone, everywhere. He further remarked that together with Barça, they are taking crypto beyond the industry and into everyday life by creating experiences that millions of fans can use. “This is how adoption happens,” Nosov declared.

Meanwhile, Manel del Río, CEO of FC Barcelona, noted that the partnership highlights the strength of their brand and their ability to connect with innovative sectors such as the crypto industry. He remarked that the crypto industry is a growing field with “significant strategic potential for the coming years.”

The WhiteBIT token is down along with other crypto prices amid the announcement of this partnership with FC Barcelona. The exchange token is currently trading at around $53, down almost 2%, according to TradingView data.
