Highlights

  • COIN stock price is up today ahead of Coinbase's Q2 earnings release on July 30.
  • Analysts expect revenues to drop due to weak trading volumes.
  • Wall Street investment firm Rosenblatt has reiterated a $240 target on COIN stock price ahead of earnings.

Coinbase (NASDAQ: COIN) stock price is rising ahead of the company’s Q2 earnings release on July 30. Wall Street analysts expect the company’s revenue for between April 2026 and June 2026 to drop compared to the same period last year. Still, Rosenblatt reiterates its $240 target for COIN stock price.

Rosenblatt Reiterates Outperform Rating For Coin Stock Price Ahead of Earnings

Coinbase is expected to release its Q2 earnings report on July 30. Analysts expect the company’s revenue to come in at $1.31 billion, a 12.8% decline from the $1.50 billion in revenue posted in Q2 2025.

If the revenue meets this estimate, it will also be a drop from the $1.41 billion reported by Coinbase in its Q1 2026 earnings.

Still, Wall Street investment firm Rosenblatt reiterates that Coinbase share price could reach $240, with this gain coming from an increase in revenues from derivatives and prediction markets.

The Wall Street firm also notes that the exchange could continue to record weak trading volumes as the sentiment in the broader crypto market remains bearish.

JPMorgan, on the other hand, remains bearish on COIN stock, and recently slashed its target on the shares from $283 to $196.

The banking giant said the exchange’s revenue-sharing deal with Hyperliquid could affect the income coming from USDC reserves, and this could dent its financial outlook.

COIN Stock Technical Outlook as Price Consolidates in Triangle Pattern

COIN stock price trades within a rising triangle pattern that features a series of higher lows and a crucial resistance of $172.

The rising triangle has a height of 21%. This suggests that if COIN stock can close above the resistance of $172, it could move to $208.

The RSI reading of 53 suggests that the momentum is close to neutral, but bulls have a slight edge.

However, the MACD line has flipped positive, and the histograms are also green, suggesting that the bullish momentum is gaining strength, and COIN stock could reach the triangle’s target of $208.

But if the shares drop below the support of $158, it could move traders to sell out of fear of more dips, and COIN shares could retest the June 26 low of $139.

CLARITY Act Hurdles Could Weigh on Coinbase Shares Post-Earnings

The odds of the CLARITY Act bill passing before the end of 2026 have dropped to an all-time low of 30% on Polymarket.

CLARITY Act Approval Odds Drop

The odds are falling as analysts assert that the CLARITY bill will not pass in 2026 unless the Senate attains the 60 votes that it needs to pass the legislation before the senators go on recess on August 7.

These falling odds could weigh on the COIN stock price after the volatility that comes with its Q2 earnings release winds down.

This is because the bill could bring more retail and institutional users who are currently sitting on the sidelines because of regulatory uncertainty to Coinbase
