According to the announcement, the tournaments will ease India’s youth into blockchain tech.
Over seven high-impact BEC tournaments have been organized so far. They have attracted over 10,000 registrations.

Blockchain eSports Championship (BEC) is a web3 eSports event hosted by MetaSpace in India’s top educational institutions and tech events.
Players can join in immersive PVP arenas or spectate live. The response to the events has been positive so far.
The event has led to the onboarding of new professional eSports athletes in Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities.
BEC Tournaments as a Means to Blockchain Education
MetaSpace sees the Blockchain eSports Championship as a gentle entry point to blockchain technology, metaverse, and web3. Players can also engage with informative sessions during the events. These sessions offer lessons including digital ownership fundamentals, virtual assets, and decentralized economies.
MetaSpace has also partnered with Indian Blockchain Tour (IBT) and the All India Gaming Federation to bolster blockchain adoption in India.

MetaSpace’s plan is to engage over 200 colleges and more than 75,000 participants in the upcoming months.

Global Edition of BEC On the Way
MetaSpace is preparing for BEC’s global launch with the first stop being the UAE. This move aligns with the company’s expansion goals.
The vision is to use the UAE edition to create a new pool of talented players for high-stakes competition.
Top players of the Indian Blockchain eSports Championship can enter the international edition directly. In-game mystery box winners will also get full sponsored trips to the UAE event.
