What to Expect Ahead of Tomorrow’s FOMC Meeting
The Federal Open Market Committee meets October 27–28, with its decision due Wednesday, October 28. The decision arrives at 2 p.m. EDT, followed by Chair Kevin Warsh’s press conference at 2:30 p.m. EDT. No new quarterly economic projections are scheduled.

Current policy rates stand at 3.75%–4.00%, following September’s quarter-point increase. September’s increase leaves borrowing costs elevated, while persistent inflation keeps additional tightening possible during the final months of 2026.
Economists widely expect a hold, making guidance about December more consequential than an unchanged headline rate. This is because a softer hawkish message would benefit crypto prices as the Fed cuts yields, and a harsher statement would sustain selling pressures.
Bitcoin and Ethereum Price Prediction: Will Bulls Regain Control?
Bitcoin price is currently supported at $79,300, with a potential $75,500 floor if sellers break off that level. The resistance levels are around $80,000 and $83,400, with $87,400 coming into play once a prolonged breakout occurs.

The 4-hour MACD was bearish Monday, indicating poor bull momentum and possible lack of confirmation of a bull reversal. A bullish crossover would improve the outlook, especially alongside stronger buying volume.
Ethereum’s support sits at $2,278, with $2,100 exposed if that level fails. Resistance lies at $2,455, followed by $2,630. The intraday RSI is close to 46, which signals a neutral situation, and a break above 50 will consolidate the bullish outlook.

XRP’s nearby support is $1.2630, while $1.36 remains an overhead barrier.
Factors That Could Fuel The Recovery in ETH and BTC
Institutional demand offers support, although Bitcoin and Ethereum flows remain sharply divided. US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $110.3 million on Monday, October 26, entirely through BlackRock’s IBIT. After $773.5M in outflows across Thursday and Friday, US spot Bitcoin ETFs have finally flipped back into positive territory.

Spot Ether ETFs recorded $88.6 million in net outflows, suggesting Ethereum’s institutional recovery remains uneven. Investors will also watch whether improving ETF demand spreads beyond one issuer, providing broader support for any lasting crypto recovery.
Bitmine bought 10,452 ETH last week, lifting its treasury to 6,051,933 tokens. Strategy, trading as MSTR, held 848,517 BTC through October 25, but reported no purchases during the preceding week. Renewed buying would provide another demand catalyst, although investors still await confirmation.
On-chain data through October 24 show 70% of short-term holders’ supply in profit, versus nearly 100% in late September. Fewer profitable coins could limit profit-taking, although holders facing losses can still capitulate.

Bitcoin’s Next Rally? CryptoQuant Data Reveals a Familiar Pattern
Bitcoin could be preparing for another rally, according to analyst DanCoinInvestor, who highlighted coins held for more than 18 months.

The CryptoQuant chart shows older holdings representing roughly 27% of realized capitalization, compared with a peak near 53% during 2024. The analyst said rallies typically follow when this share rises and subsequently retreats, highlighting earlier cycles as possible market indicators.
