Solana Price Prediction as Bitwise SOL Staking ETF Records Highest Volumes in History
Highlights
- Solana price is testing resistance at $100 amid rising inflows to SOL ETFs.
- Bitwise President notes that the firm's SOL staking ETF has hit record trading volumes.
- Solana ETFs inflows surged to a 2026 high of $33 million on August 24.
Solana (SOL) price is up by 6.72% today, August 25, to trade at $100 at the time of writing. These gains coincide with rising institutional demand as Bitwise President Teddy Fusaro notes that the firm’s SOL staking ETFs reached record volumes of $108 million.
Bitwise SOL Staking ETFs Rake in Record Volumes
Fusaro published a post on X saying that the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) pulled in $108 million in trading volumes on August 24, adding that this was the highest volume day for any SOL ETF in history.

Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley also chimed in, saying BSOL continued to perform well even when the value of Solana dropped by 70%.
“The Bitwise Solana Staking ETF took in nearly $1 billion in inflows as price went from $225 to $60. Wonder what’s possible with price going in the other direction,” Horsley said.
Data from SoSoValue shows that the Bitwise ETF recorded $24.99 million in inflows on August 24. This number marks the highest inflows that the ETF has seen since February 2026.
All of the nine spot SOL ETFs that trade in the US also recorded $33.49 million in total inflows, with this being the highest single-day inflows seen since December 2025.

The total net assets for Solana ETFs have also reached $1.21 billion, with this being a 68% increase from the $717 million in net assets in June 2026.
Solana Price Breaks $100 Resistance After 30% Surge
The price of Solana is testing the psychological resistance at $100 after gaining by 32% since August 19. This 32% gain also saw the price of SOL create a bull flag pattern, suggesting that the uptrend started by optimism around the Treasury buybacks announced by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent could continue.
This bull flag on the one-hour chart has a height of 10%. This suggests that Solana could reach $113 if it closes above the bull flag’s resistance at $102.
However, SOL is already testing the support of the bull flag at $99. If it closes above this support, it will invalidate the bullish future Solana outlook that the bull flag shows.

Still, the RSI reading of 55 suggests that the momentum is still favoring bulls. The MFI reading of 71 also shows that the buying pressure remains high, and SOL price could tip north.
Solana’s Open Interest Hits 3-Month High as Whales Open $36M Long Bets
Data from Coinglass shows that Solana’s open interest has reached $6.30, with this being the highest OI reading seen since May 2026.
The rising OI comes as long positions also increase, with the long/short reading for Solana on Binance and OKX reaching 1.75 and 1.53, respectively, per CoinGlass.
CoinGlass also shows that whale traders have opened $36 million worth of Solana long positions on Hyperliquid today, August 25. These positions suggest that large traders are bullish on Solana.

These long positions also come as the weekly DEX volumes on the Solana blockchain rise to $18.62 billion per DeFiLlama data. This marks the highest weekly DEX volumes seen since June 2026, suggesting that the usage of the Solana blockchain is rising.
