XRP Price Forecast as Binance Inflows Surge 663% While Leverage Builds
Highlights
- XRP price has surged above the 200-week EMA resistance.
- The gains come despite rising XRP inflows to the Binance exchange.
- XRP's open interest has also jumped to a near one-month high as leverage builds.
Ripple (XRP) price is up by 8.3% to trade at $1.49 at the time of writing. Following these gains, XRP price now trades above resistance at the 200-week EMA.
The gains coincide with a 663% increase in inflows to the Binance exchange and a surge in XRP’s open interest to $3.1 billion.
XRP Inflows to Binance Surge
Data from CryptoQuant shows that XRP inflows to Binance in the week ending September 18 averaged at 21.7 million daily. Analyst CryptoonChain notes that the inflows were 663% above the quarterly daily average.
The analyst also notes that the count of addresses making deposits averaged at 788 during the same week, with this also being a 129% increase above the quarterly daily average.

However, the analyst notes that most of these deposits occurred between September 16 and 17. These were the dates when the Federal Reserve hiked rates.
“The deposit clusters may reflect venue rebalancing around the decision rather than distribution,” the analyst said.
The inflow of XRP to Binance also occurred after the CLARITY Act bill failed to get approval from the US Senate, creating panic among traders because of the regulatory uncertainty.
Open Interest Nears One-Month High
Data from CoinGlass shows that XRP’s open interest has reached $3.37 billion as the broader crypto market gains. This marks the highest OI reading since August 28.

The OI reading is climbing despite ongoing short liquidations, with $7.92 million in shorts being squeezed out today, September 21, per CoinGlass.
Still, short sellers continue to open new positions on XRP as they bet that the price will drop. The long/short reading of 0.93 shows that there are more short accounts than long accounts. In fact, the long/short reading is at its lowest point since September 11.
The Hyperliquid whale tracker on CoinGlass also shows that two out of three positions opened by whales on Hyperliquid are short positions.
XRP ETFs Record 10 Consecutive Weeks of Inflows
XRP inflows have recorded ten straight weeks of inflows, per data from SoSoValue. The ETFs have also recorded $41.85 million in inflows in September 2026 alone.

These inflows point towards rising demand for XRP ETFs amid the adoption of Ripple by institutions, as earlier reported by CoinGape.
The inflows also come after the SEC and the CFTC stepped in to fill the gap left by the CLARITY Act bill after failing to pass.
XRP Price Tests 200-Week EMA Resistance
XRP price has moved above the resistance at the 200-week EMA of $1.37. XRP’s uptrend has also pushed it above the 61.8% Fib of $1.42.
If the uptrend continues, XRP will move to the 50-week EMA of $1.52. If it also closes above the resistance at the 50-week EMA, it will confirm that the trend has shifted from a bearish one to a bullish one.
The fear and greed index also shows that the crypto market is in a state of “extreme greed” as buying pressure increases. This buying pressure could support a strong uptrend to the 161.8% Fib of $2.14.

The AO bars that are green and growing in length also suggest that the momentum is favoring bulls, and this could push XRP price towards $2.14.
However, if the momentum fades and XRP price moves below the 200-week EMA, the price might retest the support at $1.34.
