XRP Price Jumps Even as 6.05 Billion Coins Enter Exchanges – Will the $1.28 Support Hold?
Highlights
- XRP price has jumped to $1.35 as easing geopolitical tensions boost sentiment.
- The gains come despite a surge in exchange inflows and reduced whale demand.
- XRP ETFs have also failed to record any inflows since October 14.
Ripple (XRP) was the second-biggest gainer among the top ten biggest cryptos by market cap at the time of writing. The gains come despite a surge in exchange inflows and reduced interest from whale addresses. Meanwhile, XRP ETFs have recorded zero inflows in a week.
Despite the fading demand, XRP price is defending the crucial support at $1.28 as short liquidations caused by a potential US-Iran peace deal support the uptrend.
XRP Exchange Inflows Soar to 7-Month High
Data from CryptoQuant shows that there has been a notable increase in XRP inflows to exchanges. In just 30 days, 6.05 billion XRP has moved to exchanges, with this marking the highest monthly exchange inflow in seven months.
Binance has recorded the highest exchange inlow with 2.46 billion XRP entering the exchange in 30 days. Meanwhile, Bybit and OKX have seen inflows of 580 million XRP af 557 million XRP, respectively.

The surge suggests there is increased liquidity and trading activity around XRP, coinciding with Evernorth’s ongoing accumulation. However, trader Arab Chain opines that the inflows do not necessarily confirm that traders are selling and could instead suggest that traders are redistributing their assets.
XRP Whale Outflows Plunge Amid Weakening ETF Demand
The Binance whale outflow metric on CryptoQuant also shows that whale demand towards XRP has faded significantly. This is because whale outflows from Binance have dropped to the lowest level in five years.
Per CryptoQuant, the 90-day average for whale outflows on Binance has reached $49.7 million with this being lower than the average of $3.5 billion in February 2025.

The drop suggests that whales could be staying away from xRP as they await a better price to step back into the market.
“XRP has shown notable resilience throughout this bear market, which likely prevented whales from finding a price attractive enough to accumulate heavily, as they did in 2022 and 2023,” analyst Darkfost notes.
The reduced whale outflows coincide with weakening demand for XRP ETFs, with data from SoSoValue showing that the products have not seen any inflows since October 14.
XRP Price Outlook as Bulls Defend Crucial $1.28 Support Level
The four-hour chart for XRP price shows that the altcoin is defending the support at $1.28. It has also bounced from this support with high buy volumes, with bulls now targeting the resistance at $1.39.
The value of XRP could confirm a U-shaped recovery if it closes above the resistance at $1.39, which will culminate in the reversal of the trend from a downtrend to an uptrend.
The MACD line that has created a higher high suggests that the bullish momentum is gaining strength.

However, the CMF line remains negative to suggest that the selling pressure is still outweighing the buying pressure.
If the uptrend weakens, XRP price could drop to retest the support at $1.28.
