XRP Ledger (XRPL) Upgrade 3.2.0 Planned to Go Live Next Week
XRP community members recently inquired about the status of 3.2.0 implementation, dUNL validator Vet responded that the XRP Ledger Foundation plans June 15 as the target date. This comes shortly after the XRPL Operations team unveiled the XRP Ledger 3.2.0 upgrade last week.
The update builds on the successful XRPL mainnet activation of 3.1.3 in late May, which introduced fixes for NFTs, Permissioned Domains, Vaults, the Lending Protocol, and Multi-Purpose Tokens (MPTs).
One of the most notable changes in version 3.2.0 is the renaming of the XRPL’s core server software from rippled to xrpld. This reflects the growing ecosystem and aims to provide clearer branding for the open-source ledger.
Vet and Ripple developers urged validators and node operators that they are required to update to the latest version for continued network participation. Notably, the command-line interface now shows xrpld version 3.2.0 during checks, as CoinGape reported earlier.
The upgrade will introduce substantial performance improvements, with up to 40% memory usage reductions. It will support the network’s growth in transaction volume, tokenization, and DeFi activities.
These changes will also support long-term stability and scalability without introducing new user-facing features. The team will focus instead on strengthening the XRP Ledger through security enhancements, including AI-powered testing and bug bounties.
This upgrade underscores the XRPL’s commitment to reliability as it expands into real-world asset tokenization and stablecoin use cases. Recently, Ripple expanded RLUSD stablecoin’s support on over 40 networks through its partnership with the cross-chain interoperability protocol Wormhole.
Will XRP Price Recover amid the Major Update?
The developers are yet to release the full notes on the upgrade release. The network state data currently shows 84% on nodes are updated to XRP Ledger 3.1.3.

XRP price jumped more than 7% to hit a 24-hour high of $1.17. However, Israel’s strikes on Iran caused XRP to fall back to $1.13. Notably, the price needs to rebound to $1.27 for a recovery.
The world’s highest IQ record holder YoungHoon Kim claimed XRP has entered the next bull market phase. This has sparked speculation within the community for a potential rebound to $1.20.
However, analyst Ali Martinez shared a monthly chart to show the year-long support trendline. He pointed out that $0.90 is the price to closely watch for making maximum returns.
I’m watching $0.90 closely on $XRP.
If price gets there, I think it could offer a compelling long-term buying opportunity. pic.twitter.com/KcYXI40Bcd
