  • Hayes has maintained HYPE price target at $150 by August.
  • He is booking profit in two crypto tokens despite a broader crypto market rebound today.

BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes doubled down on his conviction in Hyperliquid’s HYPE token, saying it is the only token his team is actively buying right now. Meanwhile, he is selling these two crypto assets.

Arthur Hayes Maintains Bullish Outlook on Hyperliquid (HYPE) Token

Arthur Hayes, CIO of family office Maelstrom, has recommended investors to buy HYPE token in an X post on April 8. He said, “The only thing we’re buying right now is $HYPE.”

This mirrors his earlier detailed analysis, where he highlighted Hyperliquid as the dominant perpetuals DEX with massive trading volume.

The crypto billionaire has set a bold price target of $150 for HYPE by August 2026, implying roughly 4x upside from the $35-$40 range. Arthur Hayes argues that Hyperliquid stands out because of its highest-revenue-generating decentralized project.

Hyperliquid used 97% of this revenue to buy back HYPE tokens from the market. The platform continues to dominate in derivatives volume, with expansion into real-world assets like tokenized oil. XYZ:CL-USD and XYZ:BRENTOIL-USD oil futures on Hyperliquid are recording billions in trading volume today.

Hayes Selling These Crypto Tokens

On-chain platform Lookonchain reported that Arthur Hayes bought ETHFI at highs and sold low at low again today. However, ETHFI price is trading more than 4% higher at $0.45.

He purchased 265,461 ETHFI worth around $135.4K at $0.51 on Feb 19 and Mar 18. And sold the crypto tokens at $0.44, taking a 13% loss of $17.6K.

He is also booking profits in AUKI after a buying spree in the last 24 hours, according to Arkham Intelligence data. He moved 3.55 million AUKI crypto tokens worth $19.61K to FlowDesk for selling.

AUKI’s price jumped 5% over the past 24 hours amid a broader crypto market rebound due to the US-Iran ceasefire for two weeks. The 24-hour low and high are $0.00547 and 0.00651, respectively. Trading volume has also increased by 91% in the past 24 hours.
