Deribit to Officially Launch US Stock Contracts Starting August 31
Derivatives crypto exchange Deribit is set to launch US stock contracts on August 31. The linear perpetual contracts on real-world assets (RWA) cover equities, ETFs, commodities, and pre-IPO contracts.
These contracts will be quoted, margined and settled in USDC. Trading is available 24/7, but special pricing, liquidity, and risk rules apply outside regular market hours.
The move comes as Coinbase’s migrates derivatives trading from International Exchange (INTX) to a Deribit-powered gateway running the Starbase matching engine. The full migration is expected to complete on September 9, 2026.
This is expected to bring more than 125 perpetual contracts, including stocks and commodity perpetuals, with up to 50x leverage, unified deeper liquidity, and faster execution. Options and dated futures launch to follow.
Timeline for NVIDIA, SpaceX, Strategy (MSTR), Robinhood & Other Stocks Rollout
On launch on August 31, Deribit will launch NVDA, MSFT, META, TSLA, AAPL, GOOGL, and AMZN stock contracts. Equity Basket 1 covering QQQ and SPY will also debut.
Coinbase-owned derivatives exchange to add EWY, DRAM, and SOXL ETFs on the next day. Stocks will include CBRS, SNDK, ARM, BE, NBIS, LITE, MU, and SKHY.
AMD, Robinhood (HOOD), INTC, MRVL, SpaceX (SPCX), TSM, Strategy (MSTR), and CRCL stock contracts, as well as GOLD, SILVER, BRENTOIL, and WTIOIL commodity contracts will launch next.
Deribit will launch additional crypto contracts such as POL, OPN, OPG, TOWNS, PYTH, MORPHO, ATOM, and RESOLV on September 4.
In addition, pre-IPO contracts for OPENAI and ANTHROPIC will be introduced before full cutover takes place. Coinbase International Exchange closes all books on September 9, with open interest and collateral migrating to Deribit.
As CoinGape reported earlier, Deribit secured Dubai’s VARA broker-dealer license, expanding its regulated spot trading services for global clients. The exchange will route eligible spot orders to Coinbase Exchange, providing deeper liquidity and hundreds of assets.
