  • Iran's IRGC reportedly targeted Amazon data center in Bahrain on Tuesday.
  • US stock futures pared gains amid recent strikes as US-Iran war escalates.
  • Bitcoin and XRP investors turned cautious, hitting resistance levels.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) claimed it targeted and destroyed the central data infrastructure of the American company Amazon in Bahrain with several cruise missiles on Tuesday. As a result, US stock futures pared gains and investors turned cautious on Bitcoin and XRP amid a potential ceasefire in the US-Iran war.

US-Iran War Escalates Further as Iran Strikes Amazon Data Center

Iran’s IRGC launched targeted strikes at an Amazon data center in Bahrain, IRNA News Agency reported on July 21. The strikes happened in retaliation for a US attack on the Darkhovin nuclear power plant construction site.

According to the IRGC, the Amazon infrastructure was targeted with several cruise missiles. However, the claim remains unverified, with no independent source having yet confirmed the strike or damage to the alleged facility.

The IRGC has warned 18 American tech companies including Microsoft, Intel, Cisco, and Google. AWS facilities in the UAE and Bahrain have already been hit before, disrupting banking and critical systems relying on Amazon’s cloud services.

Amazon (AMZN) stock closed 1.12% higher at $249.99 on Monday. If the strikes are confirmed, AMZN stock could face selling pressure. Notably, US stock futures have pared gains in the last few hours.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) also reported earlier that it completed another round of strikes against Iran. This marked the 10th consecutive night of US-Iran war escalation.

U.S. forces struck Iranian military command centers, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and air defense systems to degrade Iran’s ability to continue attacking commercial vessels flowing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Bitcoin and XRP Could Halt Upside Momentum

Bitcoin price reclaimed $66,000 today as President Trump agreed to Clarity Act’s ethics provisions. The 24-hour low and high are $63,844 and $66,181, respectively. Furthermore, the trading volume has increased by 67% in the last 24 hours, indicating a rise in interest among traders.

Bitcoin will face key resistance after rising above $65,500. The $67,000-$68,000 range is the major level to watch based on the volume profile. Also, Bitcoin price prediction showed the need to hold $65K for further upside.

XRP price holds near $1.13 amid reports of Iran strikes on Amazon data center. The price is up more than 4% over the past 24 hours, with a high of $1.14. Trading volume has climbed 68% over past 24 hours.

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez noted $1.13 as major resistance. A decisive breakout above it could confirm the bullish breakout for further upside. However, any geopolitical jitters could trigger XRP and Bitcoin to pare gains.
