JPMorgan Chase, the world’s largest bank with $5.1 trillion AUM, has revealed XRP exposure through two spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The Wall Street giant expanded holdings in BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) and Ethereum ETF (ETHA).
JPMorgan Discloses New XRP ETF Holdings
After exiting Bitwise XRP ETF position entirely in Q1 2026, JPMorgan disclosed new XRP exposure in the Q2 filing with the US SEC. It indicates growing confidence among institutional investors in crypto assets.
The Wall Street giant held 113 shares in the Bitwise XRP ETF and 181 shares in the Grayscale XRP ETF (GXRP). While the size is significantly smaller than its $1.8 trillion total investment portfolio, JPMorgan’s re-exposure to XRP marks a shift from the prior complete exit.
In addition, JPMorgan disclosed 19,894 shares held in Ripple-backed Evernorth Holdings’ SPAC Armada Acquisition Corp II (XRPN) stock. As CoinGape reported earlier, the buy comes as Evernorth Holdings moved closer to a merger with Armada Acquisition Corp II.
IMC-Chicago also disclosed massive holdings in Bitwise and other XRP ETFs. The trading giant revealed millions in options positions, increasing its bullish calls on multiple XRP ETF positions.
JPMorgan Boosts BlackRock Bitcoin ETF and Ethereum ETF Holdings
JPMorgan increased its stake in BlackRock Bitcoin ETF (IBIT). The filing shows the position rose about 25% to roughly 10.4 million shares worth almost $356 million, up from about 8.3 million shares.
Wall Street giant even increased its call positions in IBIT to 3.94 million, up from 3.77 million. The firm also cut its put positions from 4.75 million shares to 3.49 million, indicating JPMorgan turned bullish on Bitcoin price. Notably, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink recently said he is very bullish on Bitcoin and the crypto market over the next 12 months.
In addition, BlackRock Ethereum ETF (ETHA) holdings increased 338% to almost 1.17 million shares worth more than $14 million. JPMorgan also boosted holdings in Bitwise Ethereum ETF and Grayscale’s ETHE and ETH ETFs.
This aligns with broader institutional interest in Ethereum ETFs and JPMorgan’s own activity around Ethereum-based tokenization initiatives.
