After the unknown hacker secured a huge portion of ETC supply, the core developers managed to upgrade the network using “MESS” in December 2020 to prevent 51% attacks.
The core developers of the project implemented Mystique hard fork in February 2022. Around the same time, the ETC network recorded negligible activity on decentralized finance applications.
