Highlights

  • Morgan Stanley disclosed holdings in Franklin XRP ETF, REX-Osprey XRP ETF and Bitwise XRP ETF.
  • Wall Street giant also revealed 50,540 shares in Ripple-backed Evernorth Holdings’ SPAC Armada Acquisition Corp II.
  • XRP price hold near $1.01 as futures open interest spikes on CME.

In major XRP news today, Wall Street giant Morgan Stanley has disclosed XRP holdings through ETFs. The Wall Street giant also increased holdings in Ripple-backed Evernorth Holdings’s SPAC partner Armada Acquisition Corp II.

Morgan Stanley Expands XRP ETF Holdings

Morgan Stanley, one of the world’s largest investment banks with over $1.9 trillion in investment portfolio, revealed XRP exposure through three ETFs, according to a 13F filing for Q2 2026 with the US SEC.

While the bank mainly focuses on major equities and Bitcoin ETF positions, the inclusion of XRP-related holdings signals growing institutional interest in crypto assets.

According to the filing, Morgan Stanley disclosed 6,715 shares in the Franklin XRP ETF (XRPZ). Also, the investment bank revealed small holdings of 255 shares in the REX-Osprey XRP ETF and 67 shares in the Bitwise XRP ETF.

As CoinGape reported earlier, Morgan Stanley held Grayscale XRP ETF (GXRP) and Volatility Shares XRP ETF exposure in Q1 2026. It sparked speculation of a potential XRP ETF after Morgan Stanley announced Ethereum and Solana ETFs.

While the holding is extremely low compared to its massive investments in crypto firms, Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, this marks a notable development. This comes as Morgan Stanley expands deeper into crypto.

In addition, Morgan Stanley disclosed 50,540 shares held in Ripple-backed Evernorth Holdings’ SPAC Armada Acquisition Corp II. This comes a day after JPMorgan Chase revealed holdings in Bitwise XRP ETF, Grayscale XRP ETF, and Evernorth Holdings’ SPAC.

Can XRP Price Rebound?

The US-listed spot XRP ETFs continue to see institutional interest. On Thursday, spot XRP ETFs saw $2.25 million in inflows, while Bitcoin ETFs continue to record redemptions. Bitwise XRP ETF was the only one to record inflows.

SoSoValue data revealed XRP ETFs recorded $1.51 million in cumulative inflows since launch. However, total assets under management (AUM) dropped to $942.25 million after surpassing $1.25 billion earlier. The drop happened despite institutional interest in XRP, including Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan.

XRP price continues to trade sideways around $1.01 in the past 24 hours. The 24-hour low and high were $0.998 and $1.01, respectively. However, trading volume has further decreased by 22% over the last 24 hours.

While the number of whale wallets holding more than 1 million XRP coins has increased, XRP price outlook revealed risks of dropping below $1. It needs to close above the resistance at the upper trendline to invalidate the bearish thesis.

Coinglass data shows mixed sentiment, with XRP futures open interest decreasing 1.23% to $2.69 billion. However, futures open interest is rising significantly on CME, up 1.84% in just an hour.
