Highlights

  • Stand With Crypto endorsed 32 incumbent House lawmakers who previously voted to advance the CLARITY Act.
  • The Coinbase-backed group says it has more than 3 million registered U.S. crypto advocates nationwide.
  • Crypto political groups have committed nearly $200 million to the 2026 midterm election cycle so far.

Coinbase-backed Stand With Crypto has endorsed 32 House lawmakers seeking reelection in November, expanding its midterm campaign as the crypto industry pushes for federal digital asset market rules.

Stand With Crypto Backs 32 House Lawmakers

Stand With Crypto announced Monday that it is backing 32 sitting members of Congress in the November midterm elections. Every lawmaker included in the latest group previously voted to advance the CLARITY Act through the House.

The endorsements include lawmakers from both major parties. Republicans Tom Emmer and Bill Huizenga received backing alongside Democrats Ritchie Torres and Josh Gottheimer. Arizona Republican Juan Ciscomani and Pennsylvania Republican Brian Fitzpatrick are also among the endorsed lawmakers running in competitive districts.

The organization plans to announce its Senate endorsements closer to Election Day. Stand With Crypto previously endorsed six congressional candidates in March, making the latest group a broader expansion of its 2026 election campaign.

CLARITY Act Remains Stalled in Senate

The endorsements arrive as the CLARITY Act remains held up in the Senate. The legislation seeks to establish federal rules for digital assets while defining regulatory responsibilities between the Securities and Exchange Commission and Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Crypto companies have made passage of the bill a central policy goal. The House previously advanced the legislation, but senators remain divided over several provisions. Those disagreements have prevented the bill from reaching the next stage despite months of negotiations.

Stand With Crypto Executive Director Mason Lynaugh said the group’s approach has changed since its first national election campaign. “In 2024 we were very much proving that the crypto voter is real,” Lynaugh said. “In 2026 we’re very much showing that we have the organizing capacity and that our advocates are a true voting bloc that can move the needle.”

Crypto Industry Expands 2026 Election Push

Coinbase launched Stand With Crypto in 2023 as a grassroots organization focused on digital asset policy. The group says it now has more than 3 million registered U.S. advocates and focuses on organizing voters rather than making large direct campaign expenditures.

Crypto political activity has expanded since the 2024 election cycle, when the industry spent about $170 million supporting congressional candidates. During the current midterm cycle, industry-backed political groups have reportedly committed close to $200 million, including spending through super PACs such as Fairshake.

Stand With Crypto’s endorsements focus directly on lawmakers’ digital asset policy records. With the CLARITY Act still awaiting Senate action, the group is seeking to return House members who previously supported the legislation to Congress.
