Robinhood Markets CEO Vlad Tenev and executives sold HOOD stocks, grabbing millions in profit. Robinhood Ventures Fund I also sold beneficial interest shares. These sales occurred following a more than 40% surge over a month and an 80% rally in HOOD stock price over a few months.

Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev Sells 375,000 Shares for $43.6 Million

Robinhood CEO Vladimir Tenev converted and sold 375,000 shares of HOOD Class A common stock, according to the latest US SEC filing. Shares were sold at prices ranging from $112.22 to $118.13, making almost $43.6 million in profit.

Notably, the transaction involved converting 375,000 Class B shares into Class A shares as part of the planned sale under Rule 10b5-1. Tenev holds additional HOOD stocks, including shares in a living trust.

In addition, Robinhood CLO Daniel Martin Gallagher Jr. sold 10,000 shares of HOOD Class A common stock on Monday. Sales occurred at prices between $112.06 and $118.45 on Monday, for total proceeds of around $1.1 million.

Meanwhile, Robinhood Ventures Fund I cashed out beneficial shares over two days earlier this week. The fund sold a total of about 21,294 Common Shares of Beneficial Interest at prices ranging from $31.35 to $33.96.

HOOD Stock Slips After Sales

HOOD shares have dropped more than 5% after Robinhood CEO, CLO and venture fund sold shares. The stock closed 0.56% higher at $113.53 on Wednesday. HOOD stock has dropped almost 1% in premarket trading hours today.

Robinhood stock has rallied almost 40% in recent weeks amid several developments. These include Layer-2 Mainnet Chain launch for RWA, DeFi and meme coins, partnership with Trump Accounts, and record volume amid the FIFA World Cup and SpaceX (SPCX) IPO.

Wall Street analysts from Goldman Sachs, BTIG, and Mizuho have set price targets between $121-$130 range. Moreover, the renewed US-Iran ceasefire violations have raised concerns among investors, which might have triggered Robinhood executives and the fund to sell stock.

Notably, the firm also believes the long-term opportunity of Robinhood extends beyond the US. Analysts expect the company to strengthen its presence across Europe before eventually expanding into Asian markets.
